For those who are clueless as to what an AVR stands for, it the acronym of automated voltage regulater. Its main duty is to ensure that the computer gets a supply of electricity from the power source free from any spikes or surges which can fry your computer to crips. What this means in laymans terms is that I can switch on my computer 24/7 without the fear of coming back and seeing it eminating copious smoke from the back.
